This online course is the perfect place to start your journey of learning to play the Native American flute (NAF). No musical experience is necessary. In fact, for many people, learning to play the NAF is their first experience playing an instrument. This course will guide you through the basics of playing your flute right away.
The flute gives us a new musical voice to help us express our feelings as well as being an outlet for our creativity. Perhaps you are wondering if you could just learn by watching videos on YouTube. Although there is a lot of great material on the internet, these videos are not an actual tried and proven, step by step course on how to play the instrument from the very beginning.
After years of teaching this material in LIVE workshops and classes, I created this online course which follows the book but now adds videos, soundtracks, and the entire ebook which you can print out if you like.

Your Instructor
Ami Sarasvati, CMP is the author of the books and online courses, Learn to Play the Native American Style Flute, Musician’s Heart Journey, and Musician's Practice Journal. She is experienced in playing bedside for the ill and dying in a hospital setting and senior living communities as a Certified Music Practitioner. As a group facilitator, she has developed engaging activities for senior living communities, particularly in the area of dementia. Ami teaches Native American Style flute lessons online privately and has ongoing group classes for every level.
She has witnessed, again and again, the healing power of music for both the individual and the community. Ami is passionate about facilitating transformation through musical pursuits as well as long-hand journaling.
Ami is originally from New Hampshire but moved to Arizona in 2017. She is also an Aromatherapist, T'ai Chi Chih instructor, Reiki Master, and is learning to play Flamenco guitar. She is an active member of the World Flute Society and the International Association for Journal Writing.
