Neighboring Tones

Playing neighboring notes will help you become comfortable with getting to know this scale. We will start by playing two notes, back and forth, exploring the interval, the position of the fingers, and hearing the tones each note produces. Playing very slowly will yield fast results, so please practice as if in slow motion as you work with this concept on your flute.

Play these two notes back and forth for at least a few minutes. Aim for good tonal quality.
